What’s On Tap: Joel & John Anderson of From The Barrel
From The Barrel Brewing Company LLC is owned and operated by the Anderson family. Brothers Joel and Jayson brew all the beer and I manage the marketing side of things. Our parents Gary and Debby plus our wives Natalie, Barb, and Sara all help with the day to day operations at the brewery.
Like most breweries it began with a passion for home brewing. Joel and Jay would bring their latest creations into work, family parties, etc. and as time went on the quality got better and better. It got to the point that we were all harassing them to hurry up and brew another batch. We got together as a family and after a lot of consideration and planning we decided to apply for a nano brewery license. We found our space, fitted it up, and here we are today.
We are originally from Massachusetts. Our parents started a telecommunications business out of our basement and expanded into a warehouse in Salem New Hampshire. After a few years of commuting, my parents decided to move the family to Windham New Hampshire. Jayson went to Pinkerton Academy and Joel and Jon to Salem High School. We all continue to work at the telecommunications business doing IT type work during the day and then the brewery stuff at night and on weekends.

Fortunately one group of amateur rocketeers in Portland, Oregon has the answer – they’ve been busy sending kegs of beer on rocket trips to the final front-beer.
And in September they’re planning their most ambitious launch yet as their two-stage rocket will take beer on a short ride towards the cosmos. READ MORE
